Casein Fresco paint on acid free matt board in vintage Italian steel frames (Circa 1900). 12" x 6".
This view is from Mulholland Drive on Oscar Night. The rectangular units, upon which the frames are mounted, are both from movie set wood salvaged by the artist himself. We can't tell you which set, but the lucky buyer may receive some clues!
The first in a series of three organic paintings, this piece originated with puddles of 100% organic henna from fruits and vegetables being blown across the canvas surface by the artist through a straw. Casein Fresco was then applied and ground mica chips suspended in a clear acrylic binder. 16" x 20".
The illusion of dimension fluctuates a great deal due to the use of opaque and iridescent materials as the viewer moves about the room.

The existing frame is standard wood, but the artist has refinished it using American Clay and beeswax, then Safecoat Clear Seal.

The image is on an ebonized wood block which extends out from the wall by 3". The wood is reclaimed and after ebonizing it, the artist hand rubs beeswax into the sides.

Very atmospheric and amazingly glowy landscapes of the Malibu sunset.

During a recent Access Creativity Seminar Mr. Venaglia gave at California State Universe Northridge, Professor Bridget Sampson introduced him to “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. Oprah Winfrey has been instrumental in promoting this contemporary philosopher.
Eckhart’s book describes and explains “A Tapestry of Memory and Resolution” as though the artist had painted it to illustrate his numerous concepts. He did, in fact, complete the painting by adding the chair which represents “the watcher,” a tremendous concept Mr. Tolle provides throughout the book- encouraging us to watch our minds and monitor our own process of thoughts.
